I really like Ed Sheeran’s music video ‘lego house’. I think the camera work of mainly close up and long shots makes the video very simplistic but visually interesting. One of the reasons why I like and enjoy this music video so much is because of the emotions which the close up shots show and then the way these emotions are put into the way Ed Sheeran then sings. The mise-en-scene in this video also works very well creating a visual/lyrical link as Andrew Goodwin identified. There are a lot of shots in the video which include lego bricks. The shots in this video are also set mainly in peaceful, quiet and tranquil settings making it an interesting but also strangely relaxing video to watch.

I really like Jessie J’s video ‘Domino’ for a number of reasons. The first reason I like it is because of the upbeat, lively and fun music which accompanies it. I also think the way the video involves lots of bright colours makes it much more visually appealing. Although the video can be a little random at points, again I think it is this that makes me even more interested in watching it. Throughout the video there is a number of camera shots used, and personally I think because so many have been used, such as close ups, long shots, extreme close ups it has again made the video more appealing because with the next beat of the music, you do not know what too expect. In my opinion, Jessie J’s Domino video is very unpredictable, making it an extremely exciting and thrilling music video to watch.
