Effects Research

I think the effects used in this video could be useful in my video even though the style of song is completely different. There are two effects that this video uses which I really like, the first being the slow motion used with the ballet dancer, and the second the dull look to the video, and the pastel colours. I definatley think the pastel colours would work well in my music video alongside the song I have chosen.



I also think this video works well with the effects around the edge of the video. I really like the way the video looks like a ripped photo around the edge. i think this takes the harshness from the edge of the video and would work well to have an effect like this around the edge of my video.



After watching the above video I decided an appropriate effect to use in my video would be one like Lana Del Ray has used. The effect is that particularly at the beginning of the video, it looks like it has been filmed very professionally but also has been filmed in very bad quality.
